Disaster Management and First Aid

From 17th to 19th September 2025, Government Nursing College, Patiala, under the guidance of Dr Balwinder Kaur ,Principal organized a comprehensive training program on Disaster Management and First Aid for B.Sc. Nursing 8th semester students, under the guidance of Mr. Kaka Ram Verma Ji. The training focused on essential areas including first aid techniques, earthquake evacuation, fire-fighting methods, and the role of first responders. Experts from the Fire Department also joined the program, providing practical instruction in fire safety and evacuation. Students further received CPR training and actively participated in mock drills, which offered them valuable hands-on experience in responding to real-life emergencies. This initiative helped the students strengthen their disaster preparedness skills and enhanced their ability to act with confidence and competence as future nursing professionals.
